Paulo Nobre Balbis dos Reis finished his PhD in 2003 in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra. Since 1996, he has been teaching and developing research work in the field of mechanical behaviour of materials. He has special expertise in the mechanical performance of composite materials, nanocomposites, and adhesive joints. Paulo Reis has been involved in different projects and published more than 130 papers in international journals, being currently a h27 researcher according to Scopus.
